When speaking to all my California Clients I remember the Song written by the Group “The Clash” called “Should I stay, or Should I go” when I was a teenager. The big question amongst Californians stems back to these lyrics. Last year I saw so many clients move to states such as Texas, Montana, Idaho, Florida, Arizona etc. The main factors for their move were due to Cost of Living, Cost of Housing and the Leadership failures in California. So many companies find it more cost effective to move their business to states that would support the growth and provide lower tax cost to run their business. With employment moving more toward remote working, families are taking advantage of the states that provide them with many more benefits and less costs to make the move. Last year the census bureau stated that over 650,000 people left the state of California and is projected to increase. As the lyrics say… “If I go, there will be trouble and if I stay it will be double So come on and let me know… Should I Stay or Should I Go? Check out our Wisdom Wednesday series of “What’s Next” where we will talk more on this topic. Have an amazing Sunday!!
